Turning a Full Wishlist Into a Paid Basket: A Fashion Store Home Page

Online fashion shoppers are generous with their wishlists and stingy with their baskets. Shoply’s home page works like a good shop floor, with the season’s look at the door, every category within reach and a reason to buy today. Delivery and refund questions are answered before the till.

The brief

Shoppers Arrive to Look and Leave With a Full Wishlist.

The Problem

Fashion shoppers arrive to look, not to buy. They scroll, open a few products and leave with a full wishlist and an empty basket. A store that only shows products, without offers, urgency or a sense of what is new, gives them every reason to come back later, and most never do.

The Goal

Design a home page that leads with the season’s look, puts every category one tap away, gives shoppers a reason to buy today, and answers delivery, support and refund questions before checkout.

Who it’s for

Style-conscious shoppers buying clothes, shoes and accessories online. They browse on their phones, compare prices and buy when a look and a deal line up.

The visual system

A Quiet Grey Shop With Hot Pink for the Sale Rail.

Soft greys and white let the clothes carry the colour. Charcoal gives the store its polish in the header and footer. Hot pink is kept for money, from the sale banner and the discount tags to one of the two split banners.

Welcome to Shoply Home Shop.

The store’s greeting in the hero.

The decisions

How the Design Solves It

Each decision sits where a browser usually drifts off.

Categories Before Catalogues

Straight under the hero, large photo tiles for purses, sunglasses, bags and shoes send shoppers to what they came for. Browsing starts without a menu.

Every Card Sells

Each product card carries the price, the old price, a discount or new tag, star ratings and stock status, with wishlist and quick view on hover. A shopper can decide from the grid.

A Reason to Buy Today

A deal of the day with a live countdown, then a scrolling pink sale banner. Urgency turns a wishlist into a basket without discounting the whole store.

Trust at the Till

Free delivery, round-the-clock support and a money-back guarantee sit above the footer, with the accepted payment cards beneath. The last doubts are answered where checkout begins.

The walkthrough

Nine Sections, From the Door to the Till

Choose a section to see it in the design and the nudge it gives a shopper.

  1. A free-shipping bar, a clean menu with search, account and cart, then the summer collection in two arched photos beside one Shop Now button.

  2. One tall fashion photo with a purse offer, beside three tiles for sunglasses, bags and shoes, each labelled to shop it.

  3. Eight product cards under tabs for new arrivals, best sellers and top rated, each showing price, discount, rating and stock.

  4. A countdown in days, hours, minutes and seconds between two floating dresses, then a pink banner scrolling the current sales.

  5. Two side-by-side banners, one in hot pink and one in grey, that split the store by shopper in a single glance.

  6. A carousel of limited pieces on the same rich product cards, so a shopper who missed the deal still has something special to find.

  7. A row of photos linking to Instagram: social proof that the clothes look good off the model, too.

  8. Three photo-led articles with read more links, for shoppers who want ideas before they buy.

  9. Delivery, support and money-back promises above the footer's contact details, links, newsletter and payment cards.
