A SaaS Website Built Around the Questions That Stop a Sign-Up

In our experience, owners rarely abandon a software sign-up over features. They stop at the questions nobody answered, like whether there’s a free trial and how to cancel. Nimbrix’s site answers seven of those questions on the page, right before it offers the trial, and shows a $0 plan beside the paid ones.

The brief

What Stops a Sign-Up Is Rarely the Feature List and Usually the Fine Print.

The Problem

Business software sites tend to list features in jargon, then send every practical question to a demo call. An owner who can’t find out whether there’s a trial, or what cancelling involves, doesn’t book the demo. They keep doing the work by hand.

The Goal

Make the promise in one screen and show the work with friendly illustrations rather than screenshots. Then answer the trial, plan, billing and cancellation questions on the page, offer the free trial, and put a $0 plan in the pricing table.

Who it’s for

Owners and managers of small and growing businesses who want routine work tracked and automated. They compare a few tools on ease and price, and they want to know how to leave before they join.

The visual system

Friendly Illustrations, Kept on a Short Palette.

The illustrations use only the site’s own colours, violet, navy and a little amber, so they read as part of the product. Violet carries the buttons, the featured cards and the trial band. Midnight navy holds the headlines and the reviews. Green picks out one word in each headline.

  • Violet#655CFEButtons, featured cards and the trial band
  • Midnight#080053Headlines, testimonials and the footer
  • Fresh green#7FD429Key words in headlines
  • Lavender#E6E5FFPartner band and soft shapes
  • White#FFFFFFCards, FAQ and pricing
Typeface

Public Sans

Public Sans keeps the headings plain, which matters on a page that explains billing.

Your Business With Our Intuitive Solution

The hero line, with solution picked out in green.

The decisions

How the Design Solves It

Four decisions about what a cautious owner needs to see, and when.

The Promise, Then the Picture

Your business with our intuitive solution sits beside an illustration of a person working with the cloud. Every section after it pairs a short claim with a drawing of the work being done, from task lists to charts. An owner sees what the tool does without decoding a dashboard screenshot.

Services in Plain Cards

Six services, from consulting and social media to reporting and analysis, sit in a grid of white cards. Social media and SEO is filled in violet. A buyer scans the full offer in seconds.

Questions Answered on the Page

Seven numbered questions sit in two columns, about trials, changing plans, cancelling, invoices and billing. They come just before the trial band, the point where those doubts would stop a sign-up. No demo needed.

The Trial Before the Price

A violet band offers a free trial with a get started for free button. Then comes the pricing table, free, standard and pro. Its first column holds the free plan at $0, the cheapest way in and the first thing an owner sees.

The walkthrough

Twelve Sections, Promise, Proof, Answers, Then the Plans

Each section links to its place in the design, with a note on why it’s there.

  1. A three-line promise with one word in green beside an illustration of a person working with the cloud, and two buttons.

  2. Four cards for lifetime access, a simple layout, quick customising and lower expenses, with one filled in midnight navy.

  3. An illustration of a team at work beside best solutions for your business, with tabs for who we are, vision and history.

  4. Performance tracking, predictive analysis, resource optimisation and task prioritisation, ticked beside an illustration of a task list.

  5. Six service cards, from consulting and social media to reporting and analysis, with the featured one in violet and a view all button.

  6. Customer reviews with stars, names and roles in a carousel on a midnight band with contour lines.

  7. Seven numbered questions in two columns about trials, plans, cancellation and billing, with the first open.

  8. A violet band offering a free trial, with a white get started button and a how it works button.

  9. Free, standard and pro plans with a monthly and yearly switch, the standard plan in violet, and ticked and crossed features.

  10. A row of well-known partner logos on lavender.

  11. Three articles with photos, date badges, authors and read more buttons.

  12. The logo, a newsletter sign-up, two columns of links and contact details on midnight navy.
