A Digital Studio’s Own Website, Treated as Its Best Portfolio Piece

Before a client opens a single case study, they’ve already judged the studio by its website. Voltiva’s had to hold up next to its best client work. So it’s dark and confident, every service comes with a preview of real screens, and the contact form is short.

The brief

A Studio’s Own Site Is the Case Study Clients Read First.

The Problem

A design studio’s site is the first piece of its work a client sees. Most agency templates look alike, with stock photos, vague service lists and a contact page at the end, so a studio that charges for craft looks like everyone else before the first call.

The Goal

Prove the studio’s taste in every section, with a bold dark look, services shown with previews of real screens, a short intro video, recent work and the team. End with a contact form that has the details beside it.

Who it’s for

Startups, product companies and brands looking for a studio for apps, websites, branding or design systems. Most judge the studio on taste first and on price second.

The visual system

A Gallery in Near-Black Lit by Electric Lime.

Near-black and charcoal grounds give the studio a gallery feel, so the screen previews glow. Electric lime marks every action and highlight. A royal blue banner runs the full width with the list of services, the one break from black and lime.

  • Electric lime#9FD82EButtons, highlights and labels
  • Night black#000000Hero, about and video grounds
  • Charcoal#111111Services, team and footer grounds
  • Royal blue#2F4CDDThe services banner
  • White#FFFFFFHeadlines and form text

Syne

Syne in its heaviest weight, so even the hero’s three words fill the screen.

Digital Agency Studio.

Three words, straight from the hero.

The decisions

How the Design Solves It

Each decision had to meet the studio’s own standard.

Dark Ground, Bright Signal

Near-black grounds let the work glow, and one electric lime marks every button and highlight. The look itself tells a client the studio has taste.

Services You Can See

Mobile apps, UI/UX design, branding, SaaS design and design systems are listed as large lines, each with a preview of real screens beside it. A service is shown as work, not described in a paragraph.

Faces on Video

An intro video of the team at work sits straight after the services, followed by named team members. Clients hire people, and the site shows them early.

Easy to Start

A large Let’s Talk line with an email address, then a short contact form with the phone, email and address beside it. Sending a brief takes a minute.

The walkthrough

Ten Sections, Each One a Sample of the Craft

Pick a section to see it in the design and the judgement behind it.

  1. A dark hero with a bold Digital Agency Studio headline, a lime button and a framed team photo, then a blue banner listing every service.

  2. A team photo beside a promise to make businesses stand out, with three figures and a lime button beneath.

  3. Five services as large lines, from mobile apps to design systems, each with a small preview of real screens; the open one adds a short description.

  4. A large video of the team collaborating, framed by outlined lettering, with a lime play button.

  5. A marquee of disciplines, then a carousel of recent projects with lime labels and arrows.

  6. Three named team members in black and white, then a large Let's Talk line with an email address and a second service banner.

  7. Phone, email and address beside a short form for name, email, phone, service and message, with a lime send button.

  8. A review in the centre of a ring of client faces, under a headline about keeping the biggest players happy.

  9. Two article cards in dark frames with dates and read more buttons, and a link to all posts.

  10. A row of partner logos, a newsletter sign-up, links and contact details on near-black.
